VAE’s annual fundraiser is a big part of what helps VAE to offer artists of all levels great exhibitions and programs. Do your part and give back to VAE by volunteering to help out with this fantastic event. The gala is dependent on volunteers to help create a great evening for supporters of VAE. Below is a list of areas and days/times that VAE needs volunteers. Please let me know if you will be available to offer your time and support to this great cause!

This year’s Annual Art Auction & Gala – For the Love of Art will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2011 at the Marriott in downtown Raleigh. The volunteer kick-off party will be held in November at Tir Na Nog in downtown Raleigh – Sign up to volunteer and have a fun time!

Art Pick-Up and Delivery at VAE
VAE needs volunteers to help load and unload art at the Marriott on Friday afternoon in preparation for the event on Saturday. Light lifting is involved and anyone comfortable with driving a big truck is more than welcome!

Be a part of the action and volunteer to aid in the silent or live auction. There are many positions available, including art pick up, silent auction attendant, live auction helper and more.

Are you a people person? Good with technology? Then volunteer to be on the front lines and check guests into the event and help them check out with their artwork at the end.

Art Pick Up, Break Down and Clean Up
It may not be the most glamorous part of the evening, but it is one of the most important! Help the happy winning bidders take home their art and at the end of the night help with loading the truck and clearing out the art and supplies. If you work well in a fast paced environment this is the place for you. VAE always needs a lot of help with this task, so if you are available, please let me know!
