Scope: The North Carolina Landscape

Scope will feature interpretations of the varied North Carolina landscape by artists across the state. See the state through the eyes of its artists—the rolling mountains, growing downtown Raleigh skyline, sprawling salt marshes.
Juried with JPEGs by Allison Slaby, Managing Curator, Reynolda House Museum of American Art. Two entries per artist. Entries must be received by May 1.

VAE’s July exhibit will be a non-juried show themed around computer and technological art. Artwork cannot exceed 42″ in any dimension. Unleash your inner geek!

N.E.W. [Never Exhibited Works] Show
September 7-27, 2012
First Friday Reception: September 7, 6-9pm
The N.E.W. Show will feature some of the newest, most innovative works around! All work should be original, completed within the past year, and never previously exhibited anywhere else.

Home & Hearth
October 5-25, 2012
First Friday Reception: October 5, 6-9pm
Home & Hearth will delve into the world of the home. This includes, but it not limited to, living spaces, bedrooms, kitchens, housewares, furniture, etc. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional work accepted. Juried. Up to two entries per artist.

The 24th Annual Young Artists Exhibit will feature artwork from some of the most talented up-and-coming artists: elementary, middle, and high school students! Teachers may submit up to three student artworks.

Sale for the Season

Sale for the Season is the best opportunity for VAE members to make their art available for purchase this holiday season and for shoppers to get original, thoughtful gifts! VAE members only. Works must be 20” or less. $300 or less. Two pieces per artist.
Non-juried. Up to two entries per member.
